Overview

We are a private, non-profit school dedicated to permaculture ethics: people care, earth care, and fair share. We currently have an AMS-trained and experienced primary teacher serving as the head of school, with a talented and diverse board for support.

We’re seeking an experienced lead teacher. Ideal candidates should be MACTE-accredited, with early childhood / primary experience. Farming experience or interest is a big plus!

We are looking for individuals to create a school community that will eventually serve children from 18 months to 18 years. We are starting with early childhood (primary) and lower elementary levels, with plans to include upper elementary, toddlers and adolescents in the following years.

What we offer: competitive salary (commensurate with experience), health benefits, Montessori conferences paid for, and tuition assistance for dependent children.

Catskill is equidistant from Boston and New York City (about two hours), with easy access to both. With many quaint towns nearby (including Hudson, with Amtrak service to NYC), Catskill offers the charm, culture, and environment of the farm and forest.

If you’re interested in joining our school community, please send over your resume and cover letter to gaura@catskillmontessori.org
