Overview

This role is for the 2021-2022 school year and is designed to give students a comprehensive understanding of a foreign language through direct instruction for students 9th through 12th grade.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

Oral and written proficiency in the Foreign language/Spanish taught
Strong knowledge of high school foreign language teaching methods, learning styles, and education research.
Ability to teach all levels of Foreign Language/Spanish.
Willingness to participate and support Self Governing teaching teams.
Strong communication, organization, and human relations skills.
Willing to use computer-based programs such as google classroom and ALMA for record keeping.
Candidates for this position should:

Necessary credentials for teaching a foreign language, hold a valid Colorado Spanish/foreign language License
Have a desire to work with upper adolescents (ages 14-18)
Be flexible
Have strong communication skills
Have experience working in a professional, collaborative team
Have a desire to work in a Montessori environment
Have experience working with adolescents in an educational setting

Compass Montessori School is a Preschool through 12th grade Colorado Public Charter School that was approved by the Jefferson County School Board on December 11, 1997, and opened in the fall of 1998.
