Denver Montessori Junior/Senior High School (DMHS) is looking for a part time farmer to assist our teachers in preparing and maintaining the school’s urban farm. The farmer will work 12 hours per week in June and July and then 24 hours per week through the school year. Preferred candidates will have a deep understanding of permaculture principles, be flexible, enjoy working with adolescents and be a strong collaborator. DMHS is a Denver Public School serving a diverse population of students age 12-18. Denver Montessori Junior/Senior High School (DMHS) is a growing, Denver Public Schools urban farm school and high school. We have a high functioning and collegial staff culture that serves a highly diverse population of students matriculating from Denver Public Montessori elementary schools.  We have 125  7th, 8th and 9th grade students in the farm school. This year, our  High School has approximately 60  10th  and 11th grade students. Next year we add 12th grade.

Denver Montessori Junior/Senior High School combines Montessori best practices with current research on adolescent brain development to provide a learning environment that promotes high achievement for each student while also supporting them socially and emotionally.
