Overview

Harborlight seeks an engaging full-time Lab Science teacher to engage students from grade 3-8 in lab science experiments, project-based learning, placed-based activities, and field research that complement the core curriculum in the classroom. This teacher works in collaboration with the classroom teachers and with our community science partnerships and maintains the Harborlight lab environment. Roll-up your sleeves and join us!

 

The preferred candidate will be skilled in a variety of fields of science including earth and environmental sciences, physical science, STEAM, and student research and data collection.

 

Position available for the new academic year and may start as early as August 2021. Salary commensurate with credentials and experience; benefits include: ongoing professional development, health and dental insurance, paid time off, holidays and vacation time, opportunities for career growth and advancement.

 

Priority will be given to candidates with qualifications including:

-Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, Masters preferred.

-Montessori teaching credential is a plus.

-Massachusetts teaching license (DESE)

-Three or more years teaching experience science (collaboration with community resources a plus)
