Job Title: Montessori Middle School Teacher
Beginning: July, 2021
Harborlight seeks an engaging full-time Montessori teacher for well-established Middle School classroom for the Academic Year 2021. This teacher will perform as the principal Middle School teacher who oversees all Core Montessori Curriculum and instruction and work cooperatively with the Middle School faculty team. The position responsibilities include leadership and supervision of all aspects of classroom operation including, planning curriculum, delivery of instruction, communication with families, creating and maintaining a beautiful Montessori environment, engaging student life opportunities. The preferred candidate will be skilled in student-teacher relationship building, possess strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrate a willingness to participate in school meetings and faculty committees, attend field trips and overnight class trips.
Position available for the new academic year and may start as early as July 2021. Priority will be given to candidates with qualifications including:
-Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, Masters preferred.
-Montessori teaching credential (Secondary I) from a MACTE accredited teacher education program or its equivalent, willingness to enroll in training (includes travel).
-Massachusetts teaching license (DESE)
