The candidate must be certified by AMS, AMI, or an accredited Montessori Training Center. The candidate must be enthusiastic, self-driven, positive, flexible, enthusiastic for creating a delightful environment, loves to work with children, and is passionate about Montessori Philosophy. Good communication and writing skills, classroom management, and the ability to work as a team are essential. A minimum of 3 years as a lead teacher is preferred. At Parker Montessori our Lead Teachers are responsible for directing a Montessori classroom, monthly newsletters, communicating respectfully to the parents, making student portfolios and tracking student progress, attending staff meetings and school events, conducting parent/teacher conferences twice per school year, and various other activities.
