Silver Creek Montessori is seeking a guide for our Children’s House, which includes a morning program and extended-day option.  Applicants should have Montessori certification, at least one year of classroom management experience, strong organization and communication skills, and a love of working with children.  AMI training is preferred.  Familiarity with the Oregon Early Learning Division and Transparent Classroom will be helpful.

This position provides an opportunity for an experienced guide to have substantial influence over the school’s program.  It also has the potential for future growth in a unique joint public and private Montessori community.  Current salary range is $45,000-$60,000 per year, depending on experience and responsibilities.

Silver Creek Montessori is a small, nonprofit, primary-only program in Silverton, a welcoming and vibrant small community one hour south of Portland and near Silver Falls State Park.  Silverton is also home to the Community Roots School, a public charter Montessori program that includes lower and upper elementary classrooms and a land-based adolescent program.  Our goal is to make our programs work together to make authentic Montessori education available to all children in our area.  We are committed to providing an equitable, diverse, and inclusive program.
